In September 2015, I had my right total knee replacement with Mr Borrill at the BMI Alexandra Hospital Cheadle. After meeting him for the first time I was absolutely confident I had chosen the right surgeon for me. He was friendly, approachable and had a lovely relaxed manner which put me at ease. He listened to my concerns and explained everything clearly for me. Nothing was too much trouble. Also, the help and support of Mr Borrill’s secretary, Alison Donovan was excellent. After my procedure the after-care, physiotherapy and follow-up was second to none. The outcome was fantastic as I was pain free for the first time in years. In July 2018, I had a left total knee replacement and I had no hesitation whatsoever choosing Mr Borrill. Now I have two new knees I can walk pain free and cycle 40 miles without any problems, it’s a wonderful feeling. Anybody considering or who needs a knee replacement, then Mr Borrill is your man!

Mr Borrill did my hip replacement at the Alex Cheadle, I cannot speak more highly about this procedure as it went perfectly with no pain at any time, just acing which was quite mild, my recovery was extremely quick and back on the golf course in about four weeks. Would recommend very highly on procedure and care, many thanks.

Mr Burrill has been my consultant regarding my right knee for several years. I am totally satisfied with everything about my treatment. I have treated at both Wythenshawe Hospital and the BMI. The Alexandra Hospital my treatment was the same as both a private and NHS patient. Excellent is every aspect. Cannot speak to highly.

I went to see Mr. Borrill after he was recommended by a friend, and I was not disappointed. From my first consultation through to being discharged 12 months later the treatment I received was excellent. I felt completely at ease from my first appointment. Mr. Borrill explained everything in great detail, and I was given lots of opportunities to ask as many questions as I needed. This was my first major surgery (total knee replacement) and understandably I was extremely nervous but was reassured about what to expect from the surgery through to physio and recovery. I have no reservations in recommending Mr. Borrill and know that should I need future surgery he would be my surgeon of choice.

I am 51 years old and was having problems with my left knee. I went to see Mr Borrill who listened carefully and examined my knee then arranged MR scan to confirm diagnosis. Physiotherapy was also arranged in attempt to improve and strengthen the knee, but no real improvement. Further consultation concluded in planned meniscus tear repair surgery by arthroscopy. The surgery went ahead. On the day I felt safe and well looked after with clear consent processes. He visited me later in the day following the surgery to describe what he had found and done during the procedure. My post op recovery was good. I am now with a small amount of pain in my knee but I am able to resume all activities ie golf, zumba and body conditioning so really pleased. He had an upbeat and professional attitude throughout with clear communication skills and reassuring manner.
